the entropy circus archive -- under construction
This is an index of material relating to the music of Z.J.Krishna
under several guises:
Entropy
Circus - my recording project between 1989 and 2003 - and
subject to regular revivals. Umpteen albums have been recorded in
this time, including last year's Skillzy Krishna and the Vorticist
Bar Combo Featuring the Entropy Circus All Stars. Some of these
are downloadable from this site. More

Stella
Maris Drone Orchestra - was/is a improvised drone ensemble that
I formed in September 2004. Members have included: Tim Orff, Jim
Fitzsimons, Rajinder Deo, Seth Ayyaz, Richard Fontenoy, Richard
Guest, Al Robertson, Steve Parker, Mark Pilkington, Giles Narang
and myself. I am taking a six month break from The Stellas to play
solo gigs, currently as Zali plays Raga Jalfrezi. The
Stella Maris EP is related to this project in some indistinct
manner.
The Moonmoths - a high speed
telegraphy collaboration with Ian Price. At the time this material
was recorded Ian was living in Bellingham on the US/Canada border.
We were sending each other material via FTP modifying it and sending
it back. Ian and I are hoping to do do some new material soon. More

Platform Five(5) - a free-noise improv combo formed with
Alaric Pether in 1992, imploded in 1999 after a legendary gig at
The Klinker in Balls Pond Road. No P5 material appears on this site
at the moment but hopefully we'll amend this soon.
The
Benelux (Circus) - I produced two albums under the names
The Benelux and The Benelux Circus a couple of years back to try
to break the history of the Entropy Circus. The first of these was
more song-like material. In fact it was the first album I had done
without instrumentals. More this way >>
VEDiC/VEDA - the Vitreous Enamel Development Corp and the
Vitreous Enamel Development Agency was another break from the Entropy
Circus in the mid-nineties into a more MIDI sequenced domain. Recorded
three cassettes of material under these names. None of this appears
on this site but again, that may change soon.
