That is a peculiar website, the one indicated by io. It picked up on my blog once, but I don't know what for. |

Maybe you should start a scifi award? Maybe we all should? |

We could award noted genre writers an Empty Space. And then play that silent Phillip Glass piece in salute. |

In fact the Empty Space you get awarded could be like a music box, permanently playing Glass at you. |

Obviously, the real ES award has no size, no shape, no colour, no smell, emits no sound, and occupies no location. Never needs dusting, and an infinite number can be accommodated in your living room. Taoist friends will be deeply impressed. For those of us with terminal insecurity who require a constant validation, the award is easily portable and always accessible. And anyone who prefers a little visible singularity in their life can keep the virtual analogue in a nearby goldfish bowl: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_PwJwCenho&feature =related |

As you scroll down on the PKD Award site, you get a right menu bar of other sf/fantasy awards - about 50 or 60 of them. The strangest (would you accept if you won - let along go to a "ceremony" ?) seems to be this: http://www.sfawardswatch.com/?page_id=118 |
