You've been wondering about this, haven't you? What is the world's best microwave curry? Working in an office with no conventional cooker and no toaster, I've been eating a lot of microwave currys over the last few years. Naturally we must discount leftover currys from the night before. Because they will always be better than any curry available from any shop. But today is a day of great importance because I have discovered a winner. And it is: *drum roll* Morrisons Chicken Rogan Josh *applause* Currently on a two for £3 offer and therefore cheaper by £2 than Tesco's equivalent offer. I was initially slightly worried about Morrison's currys having eaten the Madras and the Tikka Masala earlier this week. They weren't bad at all, but there was a certain sameness in the prominent use of coconut. So I was expecting the Rogan Josh to display this same generic quality. Tomato-ey, well spiced and just the right degree of heat for a lunchtime. The Morrison's Rogan Josh is clearly the best. It's even better than some supermaket's "The Best" ranges and the gimmicky post new year meals with "fresh" ingredients. It's also better than several "authentic" Indian veggie microwave dinners. A happy day! |

Coffee. White Soya Cappuchino Cafe Nero - Eat - Pret - Starbucks? I think the two most authentic such cappuchinos, if that isn't a contradiction, are Eat's and Cafe Nero's. The Nero's is 50p more however. I have utterly failed to explore the possibilities of Microwaved curry. The nearest I get is a can of Mulligatawny soup. And that only seems to be made by Heinz and nowadays is increasingly bland. Curry is best served HOT |

I've just had various salads. Made myself a nice bolognaise sauce last night with left over sauce from slow cooking lamb shanks last week... lovely! |

I have just lunched on home-made bread filled with home-grown salad. You can't imagine how worthy I feel. |
