Interview with HST's widow: "I've gone through 3 typewriters in a night with him." And now: "People want to tear this place down and build condos."

I saw the new William Gibson book and I have downloaded the podcast of the review on the new york times. The reviewer actually says that Gibson is no longer a science fiction novelist but a real novelit...and he is supossed to be the sf pundi.
Afterward the head editors asks, rather curtly, if it is any good and the reviewer goes off tangent with things like Gibson is a master at describing technology. So I guess that instead I will go and read the instructions of the dvd player I feel like that.

Collected Poems, but I've got The Face of It and Journals on order :-) I'd love to buy him a pint.

Ho yes... been reading The Face of It and Journals most recently - in particular incredible precision of observation in the Journals!

Flipping through "The Strange Voyage of Donald Crowhurst" again, I wondered whatever happened to his boat, 'Teignmouth Electron.'
