“Welcome to wing one of the library,” Eloise continues. “Our first aisle is shelved with books from Dewey classification 000-099, which deal with computer science, information and “general” works. Students studying Compter Science will find books about programming in COBOL, Turbo Pascal and other languages in section 005.
“Library and information science – which is at the heart of the DDC – can be found in sections 020 to 028, encyclopedias between 030 and 039, and there is a small section on manuscripts and rare books from 090 to the end, including section 098 which is devoted to prohibited works, forgeries and hoaxes.
