“Epson Moore, isn’t it?” says Bae. “We’re in English together, aren’t we?”

”I’m very pleased to say that we are!” You gush effusively.

Bae looks a little baffled at this, “did you forget which Larkin poem we’re reading next week? Do you need to borrow a book?”

”No, no, the fact is, I was hoping to use your fax machine, if you have one that is.”

”How did you know that?” asks Bae, “not that it’s important. Well, I do actually have a fax machine, and I would actually let you use it, but at the moment there are two problems: firstly, I’m all out of paper, and secondly, I’m all out of fax ribbon.”

”Oh!” you reply helpfully.

Bae glances at her watch. “Look, I need to be at Pure Maths in a couple of minutes, but if you can meet me at the refectory at 12:00, I’m sure we can work this out.”

Do you grin broadly and announce, “great, it’s a date!” (goto 13)

Do you thank her politely and say, “I’ll be there at twelve without fail.” (goto 24)
