Vic hands you a single sheet of A4. “Your timetable, I believe. I happened upon it under one of the seats in front of the student office. It looks like you didn’t miss anything today.”

”Thank you, sir!” you snap.

”We’re all grown-ups now,” he smiles. “Call me Vic Vic. Everyone else does.”

”Well, that could have saved us some time,” you tell Bae.

Bae smiles. “I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. And besides, I wouldn’t have had an excuse to give you a make-over. I’d been sketching out ideas during English class.”

”Ah, I suspected that Bae may have had a hand in that,” says Vic Vic.

”What do you think?” says Bae.

”About Epson’s new style?” says Vic Vic. “I’m far too old to have an opinion about these matters.”

”I think I probably owe you a drink, Vic Vic,” you say.

”I’m not sure that you owe me anything, but I would be delighted to take you up on that offer.”
